At FAAC UK, we've designed a range of high-quality gate, barrier, and door solutions tailored for schools, with a strong focus on reliability and long-term performance. These cover all key safety aspects in one simple solution.

To ensure safety, all systems should comply with EN 12453, the European standard for powered gates and doors. This includes features like: 

• Safe design to eliminate hazards 
• Hold-to-run controls (where appropriate) 
• Safety edges to detect obstructions
• Force limitation to reduce impact
• Non-contact safety devices (e.g. sensors, photocells) with reliable performance

Swing Gate Kits

Features of the kit options: 

•  Both vehicle and pedestrian safety is provided 
•  The XLED double as an antenna for the radio receiver 
•  The remotes have haptic feedback and can be on an access timer via Simply Connect to prevent use   out of hours. 
•  Simply Connect can manage the remotes remotely 
•  Simply Connect can be set to hold the gate open at times of day and certain days of the week. With the option to add holiday exceptions. 
• Fall arrests gate safety which protect people from harm if there were to be a failure of the top hinge. Gates shouldn't exceed 500kg

Sliding Gate kits

Features of the kit options: 

• Both vehicle and pedestrian safety is provided 
• The XLED double as an antenna for the radio receiver 
• The remotes have haptic feedback and can be on an access timer via Simply Connect to prevent use out of hours. 
• Simply Connect can manage the remotes remotely Simply Connect can be set to hold the gate open at times of day and certain days of the week. With the option to add holiday exceptions. 
• Secure the school at night with a programmable timer for holding the gate closed. All activations are then ignored preventing a free exit loop from becoming a security risk.
• A key switch override could be fitted to allow use out of hours, but the time can be disabled via the Simply Connect app. 
• Simply connect will alarm if someone releases the gate and pushes it open. 
• The X11 key switch provides a forced open command in the event of any safety devices being blocked
• XGuards (available in some versions of kits) give a complete non-contact option and are the best way of protecting children from the potential risks of a moving gate. 
• XGuards are the only way of protecting an exposed barred gate that is moving along side a barred fence

Barrier Kits

Features of the kit options: 

• The B614 barrier has maximum anti-crushing safety 
• A 24V motor with an integrated encoder provides a high degree of motion control and allows the reverse on obstacles safety standards to be met.
• The EVOLOOP in the kits is a great option to replace loops, where their installation could be problematic or unreliable.
