🎅 FESTIVE WINTER FAIR 🤶

Winter Festive fun day3

Looking after your mental health this winter❄️

The winter and festive period can be a time of joy and happiness, but for some people it can be a daunting time full of stress and worries. It can also be a time of loneliness. Here are a few tips on how to take care of yourself and others over the next couple of months.

  • Talk about you feelings

Talking about your feelings to others can make it easier to deal with tough times. It is important to take charge of your mental wellbeing and identify those who you can speak to if you are concerned.

  • Ask for help

If things become too much and you are struggling to cope, ask for help or call the Samaritans 116 123 (Their number does not appear on phone bills).

  • Take a break

The holiday season can feel non-stop but make sure you take some time out of your day-to-day life to practice mindfulness and relaxation as a great way to unwind. Even 10 minutes is a start!

  • Keep active

With the cold weather and short days, it can be hard to find the motivation to keep active but research shows that exercise releases endorphins (Happy Hormones!) into the body that can make you feel good. Exercise also can help you sleep better and reduce stress levels as well as keeping your body healthy!
