A message from Katherine McHugh in the Sufficiency team SEND Training – Wraparound Childcare Programme
Following engagement with schools and Wraparound childcare providers last October, we are pleased to provide access to free SEND training to support inclusivity in childcare provisions. The bespoke training is delivered through MKCC Wraparound Childcare Programme funded by the DfE.
The training is designed specifically to support staff working in breakfast clubs, after school clubs and holiday clubs and FREE for schools and providers to access, available till the end of April 2026. Information is available on how to access the training. |

This online webinar will explore the wiring of the brain, the complex role of the adult in supporting learning and development and the physical and emotional environments that are required. Are boys underachieving or are they just being young boys who develop at different rates and at different times?
We will look at equity, valuing difference and celebrating learning choices and styles, giving boys the self-confidence and self-esteem they require in order to succeed.
