Are you able to spare some time to help with the important work below? A message from Mim Kendrick – MKCC SEND Local Area Partnership Manager
We hold multi-agency audits of Education, Health and Care Plans once a month to ensure we know about the quality of our plans and whether they are making a difference for children.
On the 24th March we will hold an EHCP audit with an early years focus and we would like some early years providers to attend.
The audit involves: • Reading an EHC plan and review documentation / assessment documentation for a child. • Representing early years providers in a discussion about the EHCP, considering the quality of the information, processes and multi-agency response for the child, and whether the documentation provided gives you the information needed about how the child should be supported. • Agreeing learning points and appropriate actions that can contribute to our improvement plans. • Feeding learning back to your sector, where appropriate.
There’s no preparation required as all papers are provided during the meeting, and time is given specifically for the reading.
The audit takes place in person, in Civic Offices, on 24th March 2026 from 1 – 4pm.
