Wychavon created The Pillar at Pershore to help businesses take their next step. It’s designed for those looking to hire their first employee or maybe looking to grow, or wanting a better separation between home and work life.
Businesses that have moved to The Pillar have access to a support package of advice, mentoring and grant funding from Worcestershire Growth Hub.
Benefits of renting a unit in The Pillar • Fully furnished office space • Low cost, flexible rent agreement - no fixed term • No hidden costs (everything is included in the rental fee) • Access to meeting rooms, breakout area and kitchen with separate entrance • Easy access to advice and support • Opportunity to network with like-minded business owners
Whilst these units are currently occupied with successful businesses, we want to understand the demand and locations for similar need, as we have a promise to provide more units.
Richard Cllr Richard Morris Leader of Wychavon District Council |

Businesses across Herefordshire & Worcestershire are being invited to the ‘Keep Herefordshire & Worcestershire Working’ conference to learn more about the workplace wellbeing support available.
The UK labour market is rapidly changing with more than a fifth of working‑age adults now out of work due to long‑term health conditions.
To help employers understand both the national direction and the extensive local support available, NHS Herefordshire & Worcestershire Integrated Care Board is working with the Worcestershire Growth Hub, Herefordshire Growth Hub and the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, to host the Keep Herefordshire and Worcestershire Working Conference on Wednesday 8 July at The Abbey Hotel in Malvern.
This event will bring together experts, partners and employers from across both counties to explore the national Keep Britain Working agenda and highlight the extensive local support available to help businesses build healthier, more resilient teams. From early‑intervention programmes like WorkWell, to leadership initiatives and local Public Health support, organisations across the two counties can access practical tools to reduce avoidable absence, improve wellbeing and strengthen workforce stability. |

Wychavon District Council are looking into setting up a ‘Park that Bike’ scheme. A unique scheme to promote cycling and active travel. Working with employers and communities. However, before going ahead with such a scheme, we are seeking feedback as to whether businesses would be interested in participating and have identified a need for bike parking facilities. Please see a brief summary / benefits of the scheme below and direct any feedback / questions to: joe.wheldon@wychavon.gov.uk (Joe Wheldon, Carbon Reduction Projects Officer).
The scheme would: • target the business, community and voluntary sectors • offer them various types of cycle parking – free of charge – for installation on their premises
Funded by the Council and operated by ParkThatBike, the scheme would achieve the following outcomes: • high quality cycle parking installed in places where it is needed • cycling made easier and more convenient • the status of cycling raised • cycle theft reduced • a measurable increase in cycle use |
