Less paperwork, more time for residents
You told us that too much time was being taken up by paperwork, chasing approvals and juggling systems that don’t always work well together.
That time is better spent supporting residents.
We’ve listened, and now we’ve introduced Magic Notes for our social care staff.
This has helped staff record clear, accurate notes quickly when meeting residents, ensuring the focus is on their needs not taking the note.
Alongside, we’ve made some things automatic, helping remove some simple but time-consuming tasks ensuring our teams can keep moving and spend more time with our residents.
We’re not stopping there. More improvements are coming.
All of this means less admin and fewer repeat tasks, and more time to focus on residents, working together and make every contact count. |

| Newham Talent Lights Up the Hackney Empire
Young performers from across Newham joined more than 200 students on stage as the Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School celebrated its 25th anniversary.
The Stratford branch at Chobham Academy continues to draw families from across the borough.
It offers weekly performing arts classes and popular holiday programmes that ensure young people from all backgrounds can access high‑quality training.
Founder Anna Fiorentini, recently awarded a British Empire Medal, highlighted her commitment to accessible arts education.
She said: “Newham has become an important part of our school community. We remain committed to ensuring that every child in Newham who wants to explore the arts has the opportunity to do so.”
The anniversary showcase, themed 25 Years of the Silver Screen, featured ensemble numbers, solos and film‑inspired sequences.
A standout moment came from 20 City professionals who raised £6,000 in a Charity Lip Sync Challenge supporting the Fiorentini Foundation, which helps children facing financial hardship, bereavement, or health challenges.

| Protect your child at a MMR catch-up clinic near you
Is your child protected against measles? Has your child had two doses of MMR? Measles is spreading in parts of London.
It is a very serious illness. It is particularly dangerous for babies, young children, pregnant women and people with a weakened immune system.
The best defence against measles is the MMR vaccine. The vaccine is safe and highly effective. You need two doses for the best protection.
Please check the vaccination status of your whole family. If you are unsure, or if you haven’t had your MMR vaccine, contact your GP.
Those aged 6 to 19 can also attend a community catch-up clinic to receive the MMR vaccine. Pre-booking is recommended.
