Here for Hart Community Grants - large grants closing soon
Our Here for Hart Community Grants scheme will make £440,000 available to community and voluntary organisations across the district.
The grants are divided into two funds. The one for smaller projects up to a maximum of £5,000 has now closed but the fund for larger projects up to a maximum of £50,000 is still open until 14 September.
The grants are designed to leave a lasting legacy and reflects our long‑term commitment to working alongside community-based partners to strengthen local support and facilities.
The scheme focuses on initiatives that help residents stay well, promote inclusion and community connection and support people facing challenges. Priority will be given to projects that demonstrate strong value for money, long-term sustainability and a clear, lasting impact for local communities. |

Female only bike riding sessions
Qualified coaches will be running free female only coaching sessions at Edenbrook bike tracks on the evenings of 27 August and 10 September, 17:30 - 18:30.
These sessions offer relaxed support to help with a first try at mountain biking, learn some new skills to use on the tracks or for more advanced riders, learn tips to do some tricks! All of the tracks will be closed to the general public during these sessions so the participants can ride freely and safely.
These trial sessions will test the water to see if there is demand for this activity and support may be available for those who don't own a bike but want to give it a go.
The sessions are free but places will need to booked. |

We'd really appreciate anywhere you can help promote this, to ensure as many people as possible are able to respond. |

Welcome our 20th countryside site
We've recently adopted our 20th countryside site - Hawley Park Farm!
You'll find it nestled in the North East corner of the district, not far from Camberley, Frimley and Blackwater. The site consists of play equipment, 15 acres of open fields and meadows, picnic tables and a 1.7km circular walk across surfaced paths. |

Annual update of the electoral register
We recently sent emails out to some residents asking them to confirm their details on the Electoral Register. This is part of our annual update as each year we check the details of everyone registered to vote.
Those who we were unable to email or who do not respond to the email will also receive a letter from us. Residents should follow the instructions in their email or letter and respond as required. |

Government's vision for devolution
The government has outlined the vision for devolution in England. The publication set out the plan to fundamentally rewire the state by shifting power, funding and accountability from Whitehall to local leaders. Key announcements include: - Devolution of the most important levers of local growth, so local leaders can improve public services and give communities greater control over their future
- An ambition for every area in England to have a strategic authority in place by 2027
- A share of income tax for mayors and giving all strategic authorities the ability to introduce an Overnight Visitor Levy
- Strengthened local accountability mechanisms through Local Accounting Officers and working with strategic authorities to support them to develop their capacity and capability
A White Paper, detailing the full set of reforms and a clear timetable for their implementation, will be published alongside the Budget this Autumn. |
